FOREWORD
For three decades Georgi Dimitrov, a talented disciple and follower of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, was one of the standard-bearers his victorious revolutionary teaching, which changed and conti- nues to change the destinies of the nations and the course of history. Geofgi Dimitrow understood the transforming power of Lenin’s ideas and Became their untiring champion.
He boldly defended Leninism from overt and covert enemies, from all distortions.
Having dedicated his life, his mind and his energy to the re- volution, he passionately championed Lenin’s ideas, Lenin’s strategy and tactics, Lenin’s policy. He consistently pointed out the power and the role of the Soviet Union as a living incarnation of the great humanitarian and transforming ideas of Marx and Le- nin. He considered it as the foremost and fundamental factor on the world arena, a genuine defender of the vital interests of the peo- ples, a reliable champion of world peace.
Georgi Dimitrov constructively applied the ideas of the great leader, with political wisdom and revolutionary courage and in conformity with the new historical conditions.
The Popular Front, the necessity, importance and role, of which he supported with irrefutable arguments, and people’s de- mocracy, whose problems he elaborated theoretically and applied in practice, are indications of the Leninist revolutionary power embodied in Dimitrov.
The present collection which contains articles and statements. excerpts from reports and speeches by Georgi Dignitrov, bears tes- timony to this.
We must say that this collection is far from complete. Le- min’s ideas imbued Dimitrov’s entire work as a publicist during the last three decades of his life.
