It is up to every member of the CPSU to mas- ter Marxist-Leninist theory. As a Party political fighter he must have a sound sound knowledge of theory, a clear understanding of questions con- nected with internal and foreign policy and the practice of communist construction, and share his knowledge with others.
Once again noting how much is demanded in the way of ideological and political education of Party functionaries and economic executives, the 24th Congress of the CPSU obliged the Par- ty organisations “to pay more attention to the Marxist-Leninist education of Communists, to the education of cadres on the basis of a profo- und study of Marxism-Leninism and of the views worked out by the Party on the key prob- lems of modern times.” 1
